What should new patients expect during their first visit?
Plan for an hour and a half — we don't do quick cracks and send you home. Dr. Phipps will review your history, listen carefully, perform a thorough exam, take X-rays if needed, start you on any necessary therapies, and start your recovery, all in that first visit. You may feel sore the next day, but by day three most patients feel so good they wonder why they didn"t come sooner!
What makes Phipps Chiropractic's approach different from other Richardson chiropractors?
Dr. Phipps has been in practice since 1986, and in that time he's developed techniques of his own on top of mastering Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified, and several supplemental therapies most chiropractors don't offer. In fact, other chiropractors come to him for care. He takes an engineering-minded approach — finding the root cause, correcting it, and letting the body do the rest.
Are there insurance limitations or exclusions patients should know?
All insurances have limitations and exclusions, and more all the time. We accept some insurance plans and Medicare. Coverage varies by plan, so call us at (972) 437-5800 and we'll help you sort out your benefits before your first visit. We also offer financial plans, accept HSAs and major credit cards, and provide military and student discounts.
Do you offer a new-patient special or promotion?
Yes — our new patient special is $129, which includes a consultation, exam, X-rays if needed, therapy if needed, a chiropractic adjustment, and a full report of findings. That's a lot of care for the price. Note this may exclude insurance and Medicare by law or contract limitation.
How many visits are usually needed to see improvement?
Most patients notice a real difference on day one. The total number of visits depends on your condition and how long you've had it, but we won't extend your care longer than necessary. Dr. Phipps will give you an honest picture of what to expect after your first exam.
