What is a DEXA Scan, and what does it measure?
A DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan is the clinical gold standard for body composition. In about 8 minutes it measures fat mass, lean mass, visceral fat, and bone density region by region at plus or minus 2 percent accuracy.
How does the DEXA scan compare to other body composition tools?
