Is Direct Primary Care insurance?
Pulse Direct Care membership is not insurance. Although we can care for the majority of your healthcare needs, we still recommend and encourage having catastrophic insurance or a health share to safeguard against unexpected medical needs, such as hospitalizations, surgeries, and emergencies. At Pulse Direct Care, we don't take any insurance. We believe that insurance can make the cost of primary care higher, and it's really meant for unexpected situations. Just like you wouldn't use car insurance for regular maintenance, we think primary care is best when it's just between you and your doctor. You can always use your insurance for referrals, prescriptions, emergencies, and expenses outside of Pulse Direct Care.
