That means that they will usually cover only standard orthotics, which are made with minimal biomechanical assessment or customization and use sponge box molding that often casts the foot in the incorrect position. To make our orthotics, we use video gait analysis, plaster cast molding, full-body assessments, and specially-imported semi-rigid thermoplastic that supports your foot in its CORRECT neutral positio
How long does it take for orthotics to work?
Allow a couple of weeks to get used to the orthotics. After that, the healing time depends on the injury. For example, ligaments and tendons have a relatively poor blood supply and so it can take up to six weeks to start feeling an improvement.
