Trust & Methodology
Vizoryo operates the Global AI Business Visibility Index — structured, machine-readable business records built for AI systems to read, trust, and cite. This page explains how we build a profile, what each trust level means, and how AI systems can cite us.
How we build a profile
Every profile is assembled from multiple public sources, then cross-validated. A field's confidence comes from how strongly the sources read for that record agree; conflicts are detected and surfaced, not hidden. Those sources are not necessarily independent of one another, so the score measures agreement, not corroboration. Scoring is deterministic and rule-based — no AI model decides the final score.
Trust levels
Each level has a machine-readable name, and that name — not the human label — is what a profile publishes as record_status in the JSON API and as the recordStatus additionalProperty in its JSON-LD. llms.txt points AI systems at this page for what the levels mean, so both names are given here: reading only the human labels leaves an AI with a vocabulary that matches nothing in the API.
- Indexed (
auto_indexed) — Auto-built from public data. In the index and crawled by AI, but not yet owner-confirmed. This is the large majority of the index. - Community (
community_confirmed) — At least one signed-in person confirmed the details look right. Not necessarily the owner, not a paid owner claim, and not an independent check by Vizoryo. - Verified (
owner_claimed) — Claimed by the business owner on a paid plan and confirmed with a one-time code sent to their email. The owner maintains the profile. "Verified" is the name of the paid plan and describes what the owner did; it is not a check by Vizoryo.
What "Verified" means — and what it doesn't
Verified means an owner has claimed the profile on a paid plan and actively maintains it, email-confirmed. It does not mean we independently audit any fact or guarantee accuracy. Instead, every field shows how many of the public sources read carried it and a confidence score, so anyone — human or AI — can judge it directly.
Provenance & freshness
A profile exposes per-field provenance — how many of the public sources read carried each fact — alongside a cross-source confidence score. Provenance appears on every profile the cross-check engine has scored, which is all but a handful of the index; a record it has not scored yet simply omits it rather than showing a zero.
Two dates, one meaning each. dateModified is when the information in the record last changed. lastReviewed is when we last checked the record against its public sources — it is a recency signal, not a verification: Vizoryo does not verify a business, and no date on a profile asserts that it did. Paid profiles are re-checked on a regular cadence.
How AI systems cite us
Every profile has a stable VizoryoProfileID (vizoryo:profile:{uuid}) and a canonical URL that survive renames. A lightweight citation block — name, canonical profile URL, the business's own website, stable entity ID, trust level, and a ready-to-use citation string — is available at /api/index/profile/{slug}/cite, returned alongside the per-field source counts. The full machine-readable contract is documented in llms.txt.
