For the first session, our counselors will get acquainted with you and hear more about your heart and the problems that you are experiencing. No, you do not have to be a Christian to receive formalized counseling through New Ground Ministries and our network of caregivers. The counselee, however, should be aware that our method of counseling is done through a biblical worldview.
What are the counselors' qualifications?
The counselors that work in a professional setting within New Ground Ministries, or its network of caregivers, will have at least a minimum of a graduate degree in a relevant field of theology, counseling, psychology, etc. Some counselors within our network will have state-licensures, but due to this ministry's conviction of the Church being the source of authority in helping people, we do not require state licensure by our counselors. All counselors within our network will be vetted to have ade

No, we do not work with insurance companies because we are a non-clinical pastoral counseling ministry. We believe the Church should help cover the cost of mental and spiritual health needs.
